How to revamp your old & boring Jumpers

How to make this cute little bolero from an old heavily worn jumper

Start by cutting the jumper straight up the center front. Try it on and mark the desired sleeve and body length (keep in mind that you will be adding a little length when finishing the raw edges with ribbing). Cut off the excess fabric where marked. Cut off the neck, smoothing out the curves into the center front. To finish the neckline, you can use the ribbing left over from the bottom edge of the original sweater. Pin the ribbing right sides together, around the neckline, and stitch. Repeat for sleeve cuffs. If you run out of rib, borrow rib from another jumper or cut strips from other materials. Finish with a button and buttonhole at the waist, add a tie or leave it open.
